Several Rockwood school were on lockdown Friday after a sex offender went missing. This all started when O’Fallon, Missouri police went to arrest two people wanted by Pennsylvania State Police.
But when cops came to Ballwin to get the man wanted for violating sex offender registry laws, he bolted. Police chased him on foot then called in a canine. A short time later, he was caught.
Rockwood officials say they enforced a partial lockdown because the wanted man's sex offender status. Four schools were put on a partial lockdown including Marquette High School on Clarkson Road.
Parents were able to pick up their kids, but kids were not allowed to walk off campus for a time. No students were hurt.
